Posting a job is always free. You can browse applications, view profiles, and message helpers without paying. Our paid plans (Plus and Pro) add features like priority placement and upgraded background checks — but you never need them to hire someone.

Every helper passes a standard check before they can apply: government ID + selfie match, county criminal records, and the national sex-offender registry. We re-run that check every 12 months. The Premium check (Pro plan) adds federal criminal records, motor vehicle records, and an investigative search by a licensed PI partner.

When you hire someone, you pay through Otter Works (Stripe). Helpers are paid out weekly via direct deposit. Tipping is built in. We never share your card details with helpers, and helpers never see your home address until you choose to share it.

Cancel anytime in two clicks from your account: Settings → Billing → Cancel. No phone calls, no email loops, no dark patterns. We prorate the rest of your month.

We're live in Metro Vancouver — Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond — and unlocking new neighborhoods every week. North Vancouver, Surrey, and the rest of the Tri-Cities are on the way.

We require a verified profile photo, a written intro, and at least two references for new helpers. Reviews come only from verified hires, and we publish our removal policy in plain English on the Trust page.
